Adele is what REAL music is about. Adele will perform at the Grammys for the first time since her throat surgery last year. Sure, the Grammys can, once in a while, surprise. Most of the Rock Grammys are given out in small un-aired ceremonies. I agree that the Grammys are a joke.
Even a top notch composer/conductor like Mr. Boulez knows how much the Grammys are worthless. The biggest scandal about the Grammys is the ruling cadre's secret manipulation of its membership's nominations. But though covering the Grammys is certainly a treat, it’s not exactly as glamorous as many people think. At the Grammys, famous people are on display at all times. People are OBSESSED with other people's weight and will justify their bigotry however they see fit.
It only cause he is famous that people are up in arms. Thank God Foster the People is going to get some stage time. Adele is nominated in all top categories. Adele could drop by after the last win, but ultimately it would be great to get picked up early. It's easy to complain about the Grammys but the award show is really in a no-win situation.
That's what this award show is about after all. The awards show is an ATM of bovine proportions, funding the group's activities for the rest of the year. The only reason he was on the show is because Jennifer Lopez was in love with him. The show was a big disappointment. Jardine, the man who binds it together, said the music that’s being recorded has the alacrity of Pet Sounds.
That isn't what real music is about. Music has become a breeding ground for almost anyone who has no talent. From host LL Cool J to all the amazing performers, that's just what everyone made sure the night was about. As ever, the night was packed with performances and high-wattage celebrity sightings.
